Student loan debt is a troubling issue to many young people. The Huffington Post released charts showing how this debt works, remarking, “More than half of Direct Loans, the most common type of federal student loan, aren’t being repaid on time or as expected…Nearly half of the loans in repayment are in plans scheduled to take longer than 10 years.” Please contact your elected officials to let them know how you feel about people getting into so much debt while pursuing a higher education.

Responding to everything going on in Ferguson, T.I. took to Instagram to write passionately, “For years we’ve been crying out for the nation to address the substandard education systems & disparaging treatment of our citizens in communities across America. Our people have had an increasing lack of opportunities for generations. There have been homes broken,lives shattered,and futures lost on your watch….unanswered. Look at us. How long can u expect a nation/race/generation of people to be blatantly disrespected? Spoken to and treated with arrogant tones of insignificance. Our fathers,uncles,brothers& role models were killed& Imprisoned more often than educated. Now look at us. Our friends,& relatives Murdered and cast aside without thought,as though your human life is more valuable than ours. How long can that go on without consequence?”

Most people who have Twitter accounts have had to deal with trolls. An article at Gizmodo argues that Twitter could be doing more to combat trolls. For instance: “One thing that Twitter could do to fight this issue is to make the registration process more thorough. Other companies such as Facebook have really good algorithms that can detect abnormal users. For example, the same IP address should not be allowed to register multiple accounts repeatedly. Before a new account can be created, the user should also have to validate their account through a valid phone number (which once again should be limited to the number of validations allowed).”
