Yup, I'm still in awe over Demi Lovato's "Stay Strong" special. It was hands down, one of the best specials I've ever seen on the network and I've been watching MTV FOREVER, (like soooo back in the day, when they played music videos 24-7). Demi was raw, real and the fact that she shared her painful struggles with millions of viewers -- it just made people feel less alone. It made ME feel less alone. The night the special aired I read so many Tweets from people who said they could relate to Demi's hardships. However, one scene that really stood out to me didn't make the cut. During the aftershow for "Stray Strong" they showed an unaired clip in which Demi addresses bullies.
"There's a lot of people that are on the internet that are cyberbullying other people and I don't put up with it," said Demi in the clip. She also had a message for her Lovatics: "You can make a difference, just by speaking up and if you see somebody being bullied, or if you're being bullied, say something." Watch the clip below.
Demi also addressed a girl on Twitter who called her arms fat. Instead of letting it get to her, she brushed it off. "Who really cares? All that anybody should care about is my music. So if my arms are fat, who gives a f***?" she asked. I love that Demi brushes it off like it's dirt off her shoulders.
